2011 Empire State Games

Just an update the MCSC will be trying to hold the games without state support.  Erie Canal Boat Company has offered up the canal area around the Village of  Fairport and has vetted the idea with the canal authority and received a tentative OK .  Its now in the MCSC court.  A paddling event (kayak/canoe) will be in the Rochester area  to replace the ESG event if the MCSC can't make it happen.

Kayak newbies

What I'm attempting to do, is to impart upon the readers of this blog, some simple rules for happy kayaking.   Now I know some of you may have differing opinions on stroke technique, but these are guidelines for newbies, and for all of the people who paddled around the lake-shore and think you know what your doing , you really don't.  We will be presenting videos for you in future blogs.
